Our public sector client has a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant in their Finance area to join them supporting the monthly budget management reporting, managing the preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasts for review by the Finance Manager, responsible for preparing and posting the period end journal to the ledger and maintaining the chart of accounts. You will also be preparing sections of the annual budget/accounts for review, line management of two Finance Officers.
Desirable Experience:
* Part or newly qualified with a chartered accountancy body such as ACCA.
* Public sector experience
* Relevant experience in a finance post with good analytical, spreadsheet and reporting skills.
* Previous management experience ideal but not essential
