Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant, South Wales, £20,000 - £24,000 (12 months maternity cover)

A tenacious and instantly recognisable not for profit organisation in South Wales are currently looking to cover the maternity leave of one of the departments important finance role by bringing in an experienced assistant accountant for an initial period of 12 months.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, duties include:

* Preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments and ad hoc journals.
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Producing monthly management information to none finance managers.
* Producing ad hoc income and expenditure reports
* Assisting with year end audit and production of year end accounts
* Analysing income accruals and highlighting areas of concern to senior management

In order to be considered for this role, you will be AAT qualified and studying towards either CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualifications. Alternatively, you will have experience in a similar position and be able to hit the ground running from day one.
