A 6 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity has arisen for a person to join our Central Asset Team working with the Thales CIS UK business in Doncaster. The role provides the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to join a busy, dynamic and rewarding team where their Microsoft package skills and experience within IT, ITIL, purchasing and asset management will help them contribute to a post that will challenge and reward in equal measure.

The role is predominantly to assist in the implementation and operation of asset and configuration management & maintenance contract management processes, and to ensure these are adhered to across Thales CIS and UK customers.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

- To ensure that all calls assigned to the Central Asset Team are progressed in a timely and efficient manner, using the appropriate software applications.
- Ensure any Hardware Maintenance calls are logged or a replacement part sourced in a timely manner.
- Liasing with Proximity staff to ensure faults are resolved in a timely manner.
- To monitor the on-going deployment of assets, and maintain the efficiency of the Desktop on Demand (Dod) service to all Thales CIS UK customers.
- To ensure all project requests are met through appropriate re-utilisation and/or procurement of new assets where appropriate.
- To liaise with Thales procurement teams and 3rd party suppliers as necessary over the purchase of new assets.
- To ensure the Asset Management Database (AMDB) and Maintenance Contracts Database are both accurately maintained and reconciled with the external supplier delivery schedules, maintenance contract schedules, and the movement of assets around the UK estate supported by Thales CIS
- To liaise with other Service Management teams within Thales CIS, in particular Service Desk and Change/Release Management, to ensure the Asset and Configuration Management function is integrated with other functions.
- To provide ad-hoc status reporting as and when required and to provide on-going feedback to improve the efficiency of reports provided.
- Managing the quote renewal process, alongside the purchasing department
- Monitoring and actioning requests through the Mainttis mailbox,
- Liaising with approvers and inputting Requisitions into Oracle workflow and updating CA with renewal information and cost information.
- Accurately updating Maintenance Contracts Database with Actuals information, on a monthly bases

Key performance Indicators against Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Within a 4 wk period, to be competent with use of the Oracle IPROC
- Within a 4 wk period, to be competent with use of the Oracle EPROC
- Within a 4 wk period, to be competent with use of the CA service management tool
- Within a 4 wk period, to be competent with use of the procurement tracking database
- After a 4 week period, to be processing equal to or greater than 70% of team call average
