Asset Delivery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Delivery Manager to join my public sector client in Bristol on an 8 month contract to direct teams in the design and development of a programme of initiatives.

Main responsibilities of the role will include ensuring that programmes are delivered on time and to budget, ensure progress is monitored and risks are identified and appropriately mitigated, monitor operational performance and manage service delivery ensuring robust governance of contracts through effective resource allocation and management, develop and maintain professional and technical partnerships with suppliers and other stakeholders to manage the relationship between customer and service users and drive improvements in health and safety performance.

To be considered for the role candidates must have the following experience:

- Strong commercial, negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to break up complex information and present this in a logical way to stakeholders with various levels of technical understanding
- Knowledge and understanding of industry best practice in service delivery
- Experience in management of a major transport network infrastructure (ideally roads)
- Experience in construction/Design Management
- Ability to apply programme management techniques.
- Strong evidence of effective people management skills in a complex customer facing environment to deliver successful outcomes
- Project/programme management qualifications would be an advantage
