Asset and Software Specialist

Our client is seeking an Asset and Software Specialist to recommend and implement industry standard hardware and software management practices as part of the IT Equipment Replacement Program (ITERP).

YOUR DUTIES:

- Ensure all hardware assets, including desktops, printers and other peripherals are properly tracked and identified
- Contribute in the contract management of software licensing, maintenance and service offerings to achieve the best outcome as part of the ITERP
- Contribute to the implementation of an IT Hardware Asset and Software Management System
- Ensure hardware and software is appropriately procured, recorded, tracked, transferred and recycled
- Provide advice to key stakeholders on assets and license management processes
- Integrate various sources of asset data to ensure quality information is available at all times.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

- Highly developed analytical skills, in particular with regard to complex data analysis
- Ability to deliver project asset coordination functions and experience in the use of asset management systems, especially software licence and asset management
- Experience in analysing SCCM data in relation to assets and software
- Experience in IT hardware asset and software licensing life cycle processes, policies, agreements, products and procedures
- Proven experience with software procurement, recording, tracking, transfer and recycling
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment with excellent customer service skills
- Highly developed documentation, knowledge and information management skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint
