Assembly & Test Technician - Aerospace

The Assembly & Test Technician performs production assembly and testing of cylinder related products. They will work closely with Engineering when required. This individual is required to be self motivated, and will work with minimal supervision. This position also involves in working in a Part 145 Repair and Overhaul environment working from component maintenance manuals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES FOR THIS JOB

*Assembly of new production products
*Testing of new production products (flow rate & leak rate of cylinders) to drawing requirements
*Repair & Overhaul of products:
odisassembly and survey of cylinder products
ocleaning of components to a recognized standard
oinspection of components to maintenance manuals/drawings requirements
ocylinder overhaul
oassembly/sub assembly rebuild
otesting of cylinder products (flow rate & leak rate) to drawing requirements
*Recommend solutions to the units that failed test
*Develop ideas to promote continuous improvement

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE:

*Min. 5 years experience in the mechanical assembly and test of Aerospace products to include previous bench work in a mechanical repair and overhaul environment.
*Experience in the control and storage products such as valves, regulators, cylinders is highly desirable.
*Clean room experience.
*Experiences using component maintenance manuals and drawings.
*CAA Regulations and EASA Part 21, procedures for products and parts and Part 145, Repair Stations.
*Effective communication and ability to write clear, concise technical reports.
*Fluent in use of personal computers (eg windows environment)
