ASP.NET/C# Developer

Description:

The position is for an experienced .NET C# web (ASP.NET) developer with 4+ years of professional experience in similar roles. Expertise in both web and desktop .NET development frameworks is required.

The position will involve work on multiple projects, often multiple at one time in various stages of the development life cycle. Besides contributing to new projects, the candidate needs to be able to maintain and enhance existing software products with limited direction. Problem Solving is critical for success in this position. Candidate must be able to deal with ambiguity. Candidate must have experience with secure coding practices namely mitigation strategies for the current OWASP top ten. Experience working in a highly controlled environment is necessary. Experience working in an organization complying with the Federal Information Security Management Act or other NIST based controls is strongly preferred.

Candidate must be proficient in solution design. Working directly with customers will be required to understand the highest level parameters of a business problem and designing the solution before requirements gathering. Candidate must be able to comfortably speak to variety of audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge. Strong professional skills are required.

Other Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or commensurate experience

4+ years relevant work experience

ASP .NETC# application development experience

Microsoft Entity Framework 5+

Windows Forms .NET C# application development

TinyMCE

Familiarity with architecture patters

Must be proficient in SQL Server to include designing tables to achieve business requirements.

Must be proficient in requirements analysis and elicitation of requirements from business stakeholders.

Experience with Front End work in addition to Server Side work. Proficiency in jQuery, CSS, JavaScript, MVC 4 or greater, Razor & Web Forms view engines, and breaking down user interface artwork into HTML and CSS

Experience with Visual Studios

Familiarity with Team Foundation Sever (TFS) and/or other source code management experience

Other Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) Patterns

Familiarity with Front End Javascript UI libraries (ie. Knockout, Angular, etc)

Experience developing interactive courseware using HTML5 for interactions

Interfacing with a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus
