ASP.NET C# Application Developer

Description:

The position is for an experienced senior .NET C# web (ASP.NET) developer with 4+ years of professional experience in similar roles. Expertise in both web and desktop .NET development frameworks is required.

The position will involve work on multiple projects, often multiple at one time in various stages of the development life cycle. Besides contributing to new projects, the candidate needs to be able to maintain and enhance existing software products with minimal direction. Problem Solving is critical for success in this position. Candidate must have experience with secure coding practices namely mitigation strategies for the current OWASP top ten. Experience working in a highly controlled environment is necessary. Experience working in an organization complying with the Federal Information Security Management Act or other NIST based controls is strongly preferred.

Candidate must be proficient in solution design. Working directly with customers will be required to understand the highest level parameters of a business problem and designing the solution before requirements gathering. Candidate must be able to comfortably speak to variety of audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge. Strong professional skills are required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required, Masters degree preferred.
- 4+ years relevant work experience required.
- ASP.NET C# application development experience required.
- Windows Forms .NET C# application development preferred.
- Familiarity with architecture patterns and selecting an architecture based on the parameters of a solution is required.
- Candidate must be proficient in SQL Server to include designing tables to achieve business requirements.
- Candidate must be proficient in requirements analysis and elicitation of requirements from business stakeholders.
- Experience with Front End work in addition to Server Side work is required. Proficiency in jQuery, CSS, JavaScript, and breaking down user interface artwork in to HTML and CSS is required.
- Experience developing interactive courseware using HTML5 for interactions is preferred.
- Interfacing with a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus but not required. Familiarity with Team Foundation Server is preferred.
