ASP 3.0/Classicasp Analyst Programmer

Proteus Europe is searching for an ASP 3.0 Analyst-Developer for a long term 12 months+ contract role based in St Lambrechts Woluwe, Belgium; within the banking/financial sector.

Our Client:- Our client is an international consultancy with a reputation for delivering on projects with their consultancy customers. You will join and be part of their team to ensure this current project is a complete success.

Your New role:-

- As Analyst-Developer, you will get the opportunity to be involved in applications maintenance projects.
- You analyze the issues and based on the documentation/specifications find solution to implement.
- You will also analyse clients expectations, translate their needs in a technical analysis and are responsible for the development of (part of the) application.
- After development, you ensure the quality of your work through extensive testing.
- Depending on the project, it is possible that you will assist in developing applications, and that you become responsible for the coaching and supporting of junior colleagues which work together with you on the project.

Your Skills and experience:-

Essential Skills:-
Languages: Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are additional assets.

Technical skills:
A good mix of hands-on expertise in the following technologies is required:

- ASP 3.0
- Web development basics (HTML/XTHML, JavaScript, CSS, HTTP, XML)
- SQL Server and T-SQL query language (as developer)
- Windows environment (server and client)

Soft skills:- - Good communication skills: you are able to work with different profiles and personalities, you adapt your communication styles accordingly
- Problem solving and solution oriented, you like to see things completed as expected
- You take ownership of issues till problem resolution
- Thanks to your good analytical skills, you quickly understand complex matters
- With your capacity and willingness to take part in the definition, implementation, improvement and execution of processes and procedures, you help the team become more effective in handling growing volumes of requests
- You are a real team player with a flexible character, which doesnt stop you from demonstrating autonomy in the planning and execution of your tasks to reach your personal and team objectives
- You escalate appropriately to your management, you know when to report issues and important milestones.

Desirable Skills:-
Knowledge in some of the following domains or technologies can be considered as an asset to complete or back-up our existing teams talents:

- .NET 3.5/4.0+ technologies (VB.NET/C#, ASP.NET, WCF, MVC, Linq)
- J-Query library
- Test automation tools (HP LoadRunner)
- Delphi
- IIS advanced administration
- Web application security
- SQL Server Reporting/Integration/Analysis services
