ASD Teaching Assistant We have a brilliant special needs school based in Bexley currently seeking an ASD teaching assistant to start ASAP, fulltime. This is a community special school for pupils all of whom have a statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) relating to Cognitive Learning Difficulties and/or pupils on the autistic spectrum. The school currently has provision for pupils in KS2, KS3 and KS4, aged between 5 and 16. A good knowledge of Autism is essential and experience of working with children who have special needs and who are on the autistic spectrum would be an advantage. The successful candidate will also need to have good numeracy and literacy skills. You will be required to work under the instruction of guidance of teaching and senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils including those with special needs, to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
