AS400 Consultant - 6 Months - Geneva, Switzerland

Next Ventures are currently hiring for an AS400 Consultant for a 6 month project based in Geneva, Switzerland

Duration - 6 months + extensions
Location - Geneva, Switzerland
Rate - upto 65CHF per hour all inclusive.
Language - English

An AS400 System Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure for EMEA and Asia to ensure 24/7/365 uptime

Requirements/Role:

Extensive experience in System i Management under 6.1.1
Extensive experience in System i Security.
Extensive experience in SAN, ideally VMAX- from EMC.
Extensive experience of hardware replication.
Monitor and maintain infrastructures for all customers in EMEA and Asia, and work with vendors to resolve complex hardware/software issues.
Be involved in pre-implementation and support of new applications.
Part of a close team of 4 System Specialists.
Support Production, UAT, SIT and Development environments for a broad range of applications.
Contribute to the deployment a new Power 7 System running on SAN.
