Je functie: Context
The department is responsible for the operational availability of the applications and scheduling systems on the different platforms (Mainframe, Windows, Unix).
We ensure 2nd level support for business applications in the domain of Pay, Cards and Securities and for technical applications a.o. Database maintenance, Control-M
system and perform backup/restore activities on Unix and Wintel servers.
We are also responsible for the installation of the schedules for these applications in the Quality Assurance and Production environment.
In addition to this we provide tools and give support to perform mass updates in the scheduling environment, provide support on the analyzing of the scheduling jobs,
are gatekeepers on the JCL standards and perform activities that are defined as cross application services team.
Function Description
The main mission for an Application Services Support Engineer is to validate, install, operate and recover business applications within agreed service levels.
Within the team of Infrastructure & Operations / I&O Client and Service management-Global applications / Applications Services, he/she will perform
following activities :
- Give support in an autonomous way on the scheduling of different applications on different platforms (Mainframe , Windows , Aix)
- Take part in the scheduling requests from the design phase until the installation in production while taking an active participation in the various phases of
industrialization in order to guarantee the documentation, exploitability, the performance and the robustness of the applications.
- Execute tasks as 'scheduling officer' : implement complex schedules
- Ensure the operational support of applications.
- Participate in change/release/incident/problem management conform (ITIL).
- Participate in the incident/change/problem processes conform the ISO20K requirements, to ensure the availability and continuity of the applications and
schedule systems.
- Participate in the on-call for the applications in our domain
- You will be the SPOC for the domain of Cards and Securities. This comprises following additional activities and responsibilities : planning and coordination of
incident resolution, problem handling and deployments. Documentation, reporting to the domain responsible.
