The Role - Artworker

Working within the studio design team, you will provide skilled and technically accurate input and support on all aspects of design and artwork production.

Design team leader
Design Manager
Senior Creatives
From time to time contact with stakeholders

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Art working across a variety of projects (Point of Sale, Leaflets, Catalogues, Packaging etc)

Roles and responsibilities:

*Work with creative guidelines and brief to produce artwork to industry standard levels of quality within reasonable time lines
*Work with current systems and processes
*To understand the company's quality management and file management systems and employ a methodical approach to archive management and file organisation
*To communicate progress at every stage of the design and artwork process for the smooth running of work and planning schedules
*Packaging and pre-press knowledge
*To take responsibility for continuous personal development and learning, helping to identify objectives and opportunities for skills development.

Key Skills/Experience and Qualifications required:

Competences

*Discipline to work to strict QC guidelines and systems
*Flexibility to work across a range of projects (see above)
*Good communication skills, ability to work as part of the design team
*A positive attitude and good problem solving skills
*Willing to learn and adapt to new processes

Skills

*Excellent CS skills - particularly in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
*Basic retouching skills
*Good typography and layout skills
*Accuracy - in everything
*Close attention to detail

Experience required:

*College or agency trained in MAC CS Creative suite packages
*Ideally 1-2 years experience in agency environment
