Background
Our Central Government client is looking to take on an 'Army Development and Selection Centre' (ADSC) Interviewer to work a 3 month contract based in Woking.

Role
The role of the interviewer is to run a variety of assessments that Candidates must pass in order to be made an offer to attend Basic Training. The final element is a structured interview taking account of the candidate's performance throughout the assessment centre. The Interviewer is responsible for conducting each interview in line with the procedure, taking appropriate notes, answering questions, evaluating the individual's performance, recording decisions and reviewing and sharing information with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structured interviews at assessment centres - Thorough preparation of each candidate's results prior to interview to ensure that any areas of concern or areas where there is a lack of information are picked up in the interview - Answer questions on the recruiting process - Motivate individuals to give their best - Take accurate notes - Evaluate the candidate against fixed criteria - Accurately record decisions - Input into overall assessment of individuals

Skills & Experience
Communication - good listener with strong verbal and written communication skills with experience of interviewing Experience - thorough understanding of and empathy with military values and ethos Attitude - interest and enthusiasm of the development of a predominantly youthful target group Effective intelligence - able to consider information from a range of sources in a short space of time and draw appropriate conclusions This post may require occasional out of hours work in support of evening and weekend selection activities. The interviewer will be required to observe outdoors selection activities on a daily basis to gather additional character information on candidates.
