Area Sales Consultant

Heidelberg Engineering, Inc. sells ophthalmic medical devices, specializing in optics, lasers and scanning technology as well as image analysis and image management software. We are looking for an experienced sales consultant to promote new sales of our products and support existing users.

Responsibilities include:
• Representing Heidelberg Engineering at local, regional and national symposiums, trade shows, and congresses.
• Educating customer on the value of the company's products.
• Performing field marketing activities, such as peer-to-peer sales seminars and webinars.
• Using salesforce.com to build and maintain a database of prospective customers, as well as entering all sales activity and managing sales leads.
• Contributing to product support and providing product training and installation support as needed.
• Presenting quotes to customers and communicating all related billings and insurance details.
• Following up on customer concerns and bringing issues to resolution.

Candidates should be self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision, have a true sales focus, the ability and desire to multi-task, and a willingness to take ownership through completion of all responsibilities. Must be a self-starter, have strong interpersonal skills, and be flexible in a dynamic team environment. Travel estimated at 90%

The ideal candidate should be no stranger to presenting to individuals in the medical field and be very familiar with compliance guidelines for individuals in sales positions in the pharmaceutical or medical device arena.
