For a financial client based in Basel we are looking for a Archiving Specialist to join a team.
80-100 %, part of a team of 8
Starting date: ASAP to December 2018 (no extension possible)
Location: Basel
YOUR TASKS:
The key responsibility of this role is to ensure that the Bank's historically valuable documents and current records are methodically preserved and organised.
The archivist will be part of a small team responsible for evaluating, selecting, cataloguing, preserving, and arranging material to be archived.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A university degree in records or archives management or an equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
- Experience in managing archival repositories, with a proven track record working with paper, born-digital or digitised materials.
- Ability to work independently with a methodical and logical approach
- Organised with excellent administrative skills
- Understanding of the importance of handling confidential information with absolute discretion
- Knowledge of relevant archival international standards
- Familiarity with electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS) and cataloguing tools
- Proficiency in English; additional knowledge of German and/or French is a plus.
