Architecture Consultant Job

ARCHITECTURE CONSULTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WILMINGTON, DE.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- This role is for a Project Manager that will effectively lead multiple IT related projects (existing and new) within the SHE&SG function.
- This role does not require any Chief Architect or infrastructure space knowledge.
- This role will manage assigned SHE&SG Information Data Systems Projects .
- The successful candidate will act as a liaison between the IT development group and corporate function units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
- The individual will establish and coordinate teams to evaluate the following:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- New applications and systems requirements.
- New IT developments and evolving business requirements.
- Evaluate recommendations for the appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
- Facilitates the preparation and communications of key action items. Also makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
- The individual will also be expected to achieves project objectives within scope, on time, and within budget.
- Manage projects through initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing, following IT program management methods.
- Ensures all requirements are documented, reviewed and approved. Develops realistic work estimates, aligned with the SHE Information Data Systems financial budget and timeline.
- Creates and maintains the project plan throughout the life of a project.
- Ensures project related deliverables meet specifications, are approved by stakeholders, and are maintained in the central repository.
- Monitors scope and facilitates change control process.
- Measures and communicates progress toward goals, determines and implements any necessary corrective actions.
- Identifies issues affecting work progress, raises them to project stakeholders using appropriate channels, and recommends solutions.
- Prioritizes project risks, develops mitigation plans and actively monitors risks.
- Provide overall overall direction, guidance and Project Management assigned SHE&SG Information Data Systems Projects.
- Person should have strong Project Management Skills, be familiar with Corporate IT Approval processes, excellent communicator and ability to effectively facilitate, lead and manage existing and new IT related projects within a Functions (ie SharePoint, Business Insight (Reporting), E-learning, Reliance etc).
- Individual will be expected to research, analyze, design, propose, and deliver solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies identified within the function. Individual will be expected to interface across several, SHE Businesses and Functions within the SHE Excellence Center and will act as a visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction of current and future projects associated with assigned areas.
- Responsible for conception of solutions, building consensus and the selling and execution of such solutions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- IT Project Management Skills at least five (5) years, team management and collaboration skills, excellent time-management, leadership and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Corporate IT Approval Processes.
- Follows IT PMI or Business Alignment Process standards to manage projects through the project life cycles of initiation, planning, execution and closure.
- Prepares project schedules and keeps data current in MS Project and Project Server.
- Leads the development of work-breakdown structures, develops project tracking and variance reports, assembles risk management plans and Work Effort documents and creates other project documentation in accordance with PMI Standards and Best Practices.
