One of the worlds leading systems integrator is looking for an zOS Architect to work on a contract based in Saudi, Riyadh on a 6-12 month contract.

You will have rich experience in the perform and the design and development the zOS Mainframe infrastructure (incl. z/VM and z/Linux) for a complex IT business solution. Participate in design reviews to ensure that policies, principles, and standards are met. Work with the Lead IT Architect to define and implement standards and best practices. Mentor and educate the operations team to ensure acceptance and implementation of architecture and standards. Work with teams consisting of project managers, business analysts, technical analysts and developers. Strong knowledge of z/VM and z/Linux, IMS, VSAM, JCL, Telon, REXX, JES2, TSO, ISPF, MB/MQ and Mainframe tools. Exposure to distributed environments including Java, .NET, and Oracle. Experience on large government technology solution projects. Comprehensive IT and problem-solving analytical skills. Working knowledge of Web Services, WS-* standards and relevant communications protocols, including SOAP, HTTP, and JMS desired In-depth knowledge of technical application architectural disciplines including: Business architecture, Systems architecture and infrastructure, Multiple-tier distributed architecture design.
