We currently have a vacancy for an APPLICATION ARCHITECT/DESIGNER (AAD) to offer his/her services within a EUROPEAN INSTITUTION (CLIENT) IN BRUSSELS, Belgium to start ASAP a 9-12 months contract (initial) in an EN-speaking environment, the perspective is multiple-years.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Architecture and design of information systems
-Review of the architecture of existing systems
-Design and development of component architecture and building blocks
-Analysis of the integration of different information systems
-Data analysis and Datamodelling
-Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
-Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
-Production of software architecture documents
-Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
-Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-Minimum 12 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
-Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience
-Minimum 2 years' experience in architecture and design of information systems
-Minimum 2 years' experience in development of information systems
-Minimum 2 years' experience with UML or Case Tools
-Experience in Service Bus Architecture
-Experience with relational databases
-Experience in web technologies

Experience of at least 6 years in each of the following technologies and tools:

-HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript
-Spring
-Hibernate
-SQL

Experience of at least 5 years in the following technology and tools:

-MAVEN

Experience of at least 2 years in the following technology desired:

-Vaadin

OPTIONAL SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:

Minimum a total of 3 years in one or more of the following areas: UML, SOA, JEE, web 2.0, a business process modelling tool, a DBMS or specific design or architectural tool.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

-In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
-In depth knowledge of applications design
-In depth knowledge of modelling tools
-Good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming languages
-Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
-Good knowledge of Relational DBMS
