Architect for a Microsoft BI Platform (2952) - English Speaking Contra

As the BI Platform Architect you will be responsible for designing and delivering quality solutions to support the growth and stability of a rapidly evolving, global BI platform.

THE JOB:

- Defining the physical BI architecture to support scalability, DR and high availability
- Planning and supporting technical upgrades (SQL Server 2014)
- Conducting proof of concepts and performance tests
- Leading white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings as needed
- Lead analysis, architecture, design and development of data marts and Business Intelligence solutions
- Work independently or as part of a team to design and develop solutions using SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
- Design and develop Integration (ETL, ELT) processes using MS SQL Server 2014 SSIS, DQS, MDM or other related tools/technologies
- Collaborate across teams to standardize BI implementation(s)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- 5+ years of experience, specializing in BI solution architecture, design, and development.
- Programming experience, developing tailored BI solutions using BIDs and C#
- Technical Specialization in: SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server and other related technologies
- Familiarity with database centric applications and VLDB/data warehouse solutions
- Experience with Agile solution delivery
- Data Warehousing and Datamodelling, specifically building/understanding star schema based data marts
- Architecture: defining non-functional requirements and ensure they are achieved.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

- Microsoft BI (Business Intelligence) certification a plus
- German language is a plus
- Banking/Financial Services domain knowledge

IN SUMMARY:

- 50% hands on and 50% architecture (joining the dots)
- must be a very strong MS BI Developer
- must know Oracle too... but a lot more emphasis on MS BI
- must have a solid DWH background
