Architect ECAD Tools (m/f)

Our Client is an international operating company in the area of test systems for the semiconductor industry. For it's location in Boeblingen it is seeking you as Architect ECAD Tools (m/f).

Type of contract: unlimited permanent position direct with our client

Your key tasks:
You will take part in defining and implementing a new world-wide PLM system
You will manage the existing tools environment and help to drive the necessary changes (within the German R&D centers and in collaboration with Japanese counterparts)
You will manage the tools environment for Parts Data, E-CAD and M-CAD
You will define, maintain and operate the respective tools for general availability, including Mentor DMS and PTC ModelManager
You will regularly update the tools to the latest release
You will assure interfaces between authoring tools and parts data bases
You will establish and maintain library data bases
You will harmonize tools usage across organizations
You will customize tools to fit the needs of the target user community, integrate tools and processes, manage necessary change to existing tools platforms and processes and train users on new tools and new processes
You will drive tools roll-out and implementation projects
You will support end-users in integrating their processes with the existing tools platform
You will determine support needs and develop adequate support plans as well as you will provide a single point of contact for end-user support issues
You will be the interface to vendor’s technical tool support
You will assist in the definition and selection of the future PLM system (understand requirements of organization, users and processes, identify implementation alternatives, determine needs for infrastructure)

Your profile:
Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Working experience with E-CAD authoring tools, ideally Mentor Expedition and DMS
Deep understanding of the entire electrical design process
Ideally similar experience in mechanical design
PLM experience - either from an implementer or an administrator perspective
Fluent English language skills
Working experience in cross-cultural environments would be a plus
