ARCHITECT ASSISTANT, AUTOCAD, DESIGNS, DRAWINGS, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, CONTRACT, ENFIELD

Due to work load my Enfield based client is currently seeking a number of Architect Assistants for a long term contract.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE;

- Broad experience in providing full architectural services for a variety of small, medium and large new build, refurbishment, and adaptations works, particularly Schools, from inception to completion, as part of a multi-disciplinary design team. Specifically, this to include preparation of feasibility studies, designs, drawings (including CAD), specifications, schedules etc. together with project programming and delivery within agreed standards of quality, time and cost. (Evidenced through training and proven experience)
- Proven ability to take a lead role as Project Lead/Contract Administrator for small to medium sized projects within a multi-disciplinary team environment, working in collaboration with, and co-ordinating input of all disciplines (incl. external consultants). Proven ability to establish good working relationships with clients, Senior Managers, Councillors and other relevant groups
- Sound Architectural skills with a thorough knowledge of building design and construction, including an understanding of sustainable design and life cycle costs, together with experience in project/contract administration, from inception to completion.
- A good working knowledge of current building legislation, eg CDM Regs, Building regs, Planning Legislation, codes of Practice etc. together with a working knowledge of standard forms of contract (incl. JCT ), and knowledge of various forms of procurement for new-build and refurbishment projects, using bills of quantities, schedules of work and the like.
- High standard of CAD expertise and experience essential on industry-norm platform (Autocad/Vectorworks desirable)
