APQP ENGINEER (CONTRACT) - AUTOMOTIVE - EAST MIDLANDS

APQP engineer required for a 3 month rolling contract within the automotive industry. The role will involve;

- Responsible for managing customer concern and provide support customer.
- Build relationship with customer to manage PPM and concerns.
- Responsible for new/modified product trial at customer end.
- Support Programme Manager for new product development APQP support.
- Liaise with internal quality stakeholders; project, operations and engineering to ensure smooth transfer of new products to production are in accordance with AQPQ process.
- Responsible for writing quality documents and agree standard with customer.
- In time Warranty return analysis, and reporting
- Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for quality concern.
- Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
- Analyse data for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
- Responsible for training to build quality awareness.
- Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
- Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
- Support timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
- Support in managing suppliers' performance and conduct audits.
- To prepare quality PPM containment cost reports.
- Verify customer claims
