APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST, FLUENT FRENCH - ASSET MANAGEMENT
My client, a prestigious financial institution in the Asset Management industry is looking for an experienced Applications Specialist.JOB DESCRIPTION
- Perform the system administration of our business applications throughout the entire application life cycle (architectural design, installation, creation of monitoring solutions, patching, performance tuning, documenting ...).
- Applications are predominantly running on Windows 2003 and 2008 but strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Apache/Tomcat based applications is required.
- Troubleshooting and performance analysis are a big part of the job and require an in-depth knowledge of the MS and Red Hat operating systems.
- Production releases are done on Saturdays, candidates will participate every now and then to these releases once they're fully operational.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
LANGUAGE CAPABILITY
Fluency in French is mandatory.
Application specialist with expertise in the following domains:
- Strong Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 background.
- Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux background.
- Experience with Apache/Tomcat based applications.
- Troubleshooting skills on business application level.
- Experience with disaster recovery technologies and how to implement them.
- 5+ years of business applications administration and implementation.
- Experience with Sun Solaris systems is a strong asset.
Fluent in French and English (Dutch is an asset), excellent interpersonal and result-oriented skills.
