Applications Specialist

The description of the job is:

· Responsible for a wide variety of projects relating to the promotion of surface Wellhead and Christmas Tree products. Product support includes preparation of quotations, project management and interfacing with manufacturing. You will work closely with the Design Team to develop new ideas for up and coming projects and tenders.

· Responsible for customer liaison through the bid process and for maintaining control of the project throughout manufacture and final release.

· With experience, secondary challenge is training of new applications engineers and learning supervisory functions.

· Subject to the direction of the Wellhead Sales Manager responsibilities will include:

Engineering cost calculation for surface wellhead products;
Assist Design Team in preliminary investigation and study of parameters and variables which affect proposed design to meet tender requirements;
Establish raw material requirements for tender proposal;
Make layouts of proposals and cost calculations of product;
Compile quotation documents;
Create quotation drawings/sketches;
Set up running procedures for inclusion in quotation;
Liaise with Sales personnel as to the current tender packages, with updates to any changes;
Keep abreast of and apply the latest standards and practices when compiling quotations;
Assist Sales with customer problems and requirements.
