EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY:

This is an excellent and exciting new opportunity for an [SC Cleared] APPLICATIONS PACKAGER to work in a secure and complex environment on an initial 6 month assignment for one of Steria's most prestigious Government clients.

On client's instructions, due to the urgency, nature and length of the assignment, the successful candidate must have current security clearance to SC level. This role complies with national security vetting requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Package and distribute software components to the Enterprise.
- Generating new packaging products in response to Project requirements.
- Ensuring that packaging products meet set requirements and specifications.
- Win 7 App Locker experience.
- Working knowledge of Power Shell,
- Server 2008 R2 Group policy experience (AGPM).
- Working knowledge of SCCM 2012 preferable.
- Knowledge of MSI, silent installation techniques and troubleshooting.
- AppV 5 sequencing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of AppDNA, SysTrac, InstallStudio useful
- Report anomalies and escalate issues to Team Leader.
- Provide third-line support to site teams and projects.
- Writing, reviewing and maintaining processes and procedures.
- Suggest improvements and innovations (CSI&I) that could assist introduce efficiencies into the environment.
- Work with business and security frameworks (ITIL, JSP, IMN).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS (IN PREFERENCE ORDER)

- App-v packaging- preferably v5
- Application sequencing
- SCCM Administration - Software distribution and OS deployment.
- Scripting - VBS, Batch etc.
- Software integration and compatibility testing.
- In depth knowledge of: Group policy and client end points.
- Operating system build and delivery mechanisms.
- Good RCA within a complex environment.
- Knowledge of different installer engines.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Application sequencing
- Application virtualisation - APP-V v4.6, MED-V
- Endpoint device control
- ITIL V3.
