I have had a meeting with a Client of Huxley today who are looking rather urgently for an Applications Engineer in their satellite office in Aberdeen who Design and Manufacture Bespoke Sealing Solutions for their Clients in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Applications Engineer will be expected to have good Design Knowledge with Seals and Pressure, and have 3-5 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.

This will be a very technical and Client facing role, so excellent communication skills are a must, as well as a British Passport or Tier 1 Visa due to International Travel Requirements.

You will be expected to be a motivated self starter, who can problem solve quickly and have Client facing experience. This role will be in a satellite office and so you will predominantly be working on your own, therefore a desire to progress your career by striving to develop new clients and business whilst maintaining current relationships is a must.

Ideally I am looking for someone with:
- 3-5 years Oil and Gas Experience in the North Sea
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design of Seals and Pressure systems
- Be an Expert in SolidWorks and Ansys
- Have proven Problem Solving skills in an Engineering Capacity
- Experience in New Product Development and/or Designing Bespoke Solutions

The salary is Flexible up to £60,000 dependent on experience. This is a Permanent role and unfortunately a contract position will not be considered.
