EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY: This assignment will be working with one of Steria's most prestigious Government Clients. You will work through Steria Recruitment for Steria, the UK's leading Outsourcing and Technology Company.

A requirement has been identified for a Security Cleared Applications Architect to lead/own the technical solution from conception to delivery for application focussed initiatives.

The post holder will be responsible for:

- Ensuring the solution is aligned with Target Architecture and associated strategies.
- Ensuring the solution utilises repeatable design patterns and re-usable components to maximise efficiencies in delivery and operations.
- Proposing elements of the solution design to the architecture council as new design patterns for adoption.
- Providing architectural governance including the completion of a weekly solution update report and deputising appropriately where not possible.
- Identifying suitable colleagues to peer review work products and conversely reviewing work products produced by peers.

Essential experience

- Background in applications focussed projects with experience of bespoke development and COTS packaged solutions using a range of methodologies.
- General Architecture Skills including some or all of the following: - - Enterprise Architecture
- Business Architecture
- Information Architecture
- Security
- Infrastructure
- IT General Knowledge
- Good Oral and Written Communications and interpersonal skills in both formal and informal scenarios.
- Design skills including use of design patterns and governance of design collateral.
- Experience of producing models for solutions covering business, application and infrastructure viewpoints.

Desirable experience

- Experience of UML Modelling skills.
- Experience of ArchiMate modelling skills.
- Experience of Agile development methods and techniques.

This role requires that the successful candidate must hold or be eligible for DV Security Clearance. Candidates that do not hold a valid clearance must be willing to go through the required security vetting process.
