Applications Architect - Analytics

My client, a very large professional services organisation, is looking for a Senior Analytics Application Architect. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the high level solution design to meet the business requirements, this is in conjunction with guiding and mentoring development teams on methodologies in accordance with the companies TOGAF framework.

The position will include working closely with all associated groups from technical leads to information security teams. Candidates will be expected to drive success through four key characteristics: leadership; promoting a passion for technology; collaboration and ingenuity; communication.

More specifically the Senior Application Architect will be responsible for (but is not limited to):

Defining the overall analytics architecture (patterns, methods, blueprints, etc.)

Defining technical and data architectures for warehouse and reporting marts
-

Evaluating and recommending specific analytics technologies

A successful candidate should also have:

-

Extensive, real world experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 including:

-

SQL Server Relational Database Management System
-

T-SQL development skills
-

SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
-

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

-

Extensive experience in advanced analytics and demonstrated skills in Tableau, Spotfire, SPSS, SAS, Matlab

-

Familiar with architecture principles and frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, Gartner, DOD etc.)

Qualifications that are desired but not required include:

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Business intelligence

TOGAF 9 certified
