Application Virtualization Consultant Location: The Hague, Netherlands Duration: 4 Months + Extension Start: ASAP Rate: Market Rate Languages: English Clearance: EU Security Clearance or Equivalent Description: Sperry Partners Group is urgently looking for an experienced Application Virtualization Consultant for a project in The Hague, Netherlands. Tasks: ·Produce design and implementation documents in the area of application and desktop virtualization related solutions, both targeting architecture definition and engineering specifications depending on need. ·Liaise with security and internal ICT compliance, gathering requirements, managing the relationship and expectations for work and bringing into ICT specific demand to be addressed in solutions or procedures. ·Liaise with ICT Operations teams for the setup, maintenance, optimization and troubleshooting of application and desktop virtualization solutions in place. ·Support actively the investigations and analysis related to setup and maintenance costs of application and desktop virtualization solutions, enabling and/or driving ROI analysis. Skills: ·A minimum of 7 years' experience in application virtualization and virtualized desktop architecture and engineering roles ·Professional experience in at least 3 large scale projects with responsibility for application and/or desktop virtualization design / architecture definition and engineering ·Professional experience in at least 3 large scale projects with responsibility for support of virtualised applications and/or virtual desktop solutions in Production environments ·Working knowledge of English (level b2) ·Professional knowledge of Citrix based application virtualization AND Citrix based desktop virtualization solutions, from design to implementation ·Professional knowledge of VMWare based (Horizon) application and desktop virtualization solutions, from design to implementation ·Professional knowledge of application and/or desktop virtualization security controls and policy engineering ·Professional knowledge of both Windows Server 2016 and RedHat (v7) Linux server environments, including Active Directory based authentication and server hardening ·Professional knowledge of thin client solutions and their management infrastructure (architectures and vendors/models) ·Professional knowledge of Windows and Linux based virtual desktop image definition and maintenance when used for application or desktop virtualization solutions Keywords: Application Virtualization, Citrix, Linux, RedHat, VMWare, Horizion, The Hague, Netherlands.
