Application Trade Support Engineer- 2nd Level

Role Responsibilities:

The following are key responsibilities fulfilled by a support analyst in this role

* Point of contact between traders, developers, risk, and QA teams
* Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
* Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
* Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements/ automation with scripting
* Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
* Batch processing/monitoring
* Script solutions, monitor diagnostics
* Release implementation and post-release testing
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
* Accurate tracking of support effort to enable effective management reporting
* Shift/weekend work: Weekend on call rotation to provide 24/7 access to support services

Required Skills:

* At least 3+ years experience in a technical role within the financial industry (primarily trade application support)
* Linux Operating System (administration and maintenance)
* Scripting Experience (Shell, Perl, Python, or Bash)
* Programming experience in one language (Java, C++, C#)
* Financial, Trading, Market Data background a plus or background with real time systems a MUST have
* Network infrastructure and communications knowledge highly helpful
