Application Tester, Stockholm

An exciting opportunity is currently available in STOCKHOLM for an APPLICATION TESTER. This position is located in the PUBLIC SECTOR through an IT Service Provider.

The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil the following tasks:

- The consultant will be integrated in the Back Office
- Test and deploy applications and patches in a testing environment, ie prepare test plans and conduct testing and debugging to proactively identify bugs in application code during the construction phase as well as the validation and integration phase of the software development life cycle including the use of automated testing tools;
- Create test cases based on use cases provided;
- Provide reports about the tests conducted;
- Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of a test environment for integrated testing of the various applications developed;
- Support the integration of new systems into the existing environment.

We are looking for candidates with the following profile:

- Knowledge and experience in creating test plans and cases and their execution;
- Knowledge of test methodologies;
- Knowledge in test reporting and issue tracking;
- Experience with automated application test tools;
- Experience with working in a multicultural environment;
- Very good organisational skills: a planned approach to tasks and ability to prioritize;
- Very good communication skills;
- High level of service orientation;
- Excellent team worker.

Language requirements:

- Very good command of English; oral and written

The role is is offered as a freelance contract with an initial duration of 95 days with extensions likely.
