KEY SKILLS
- Professional background in both software quality assurance/testing and system development
- Excellent experience in .NET and C#
- Excellent experience implementing and working with automated regression testing
- Experience with DOS batch Scripting
- Experience with Visual Studio Team System Testing Tools
- Experience in testing and quality assurance in development of web-based applications, including web services;
- Experience in managing test cases
- Experience in agile development processes
- Good communication skills
- Certifications in the field of software quality assurance is advantageous
- Experience working with TFS 2010 build server definitions or experience with XAML is advantageous
- Experience with surveillance and/or laboratory data is advantageous
About the role
My client is operating and developing a European Surveillance System to collect, analyse and disseminate data on communicable diseases in the EU. The system was first developed and opened in 2008 and has operated since. To this date, roughly 25000 files containing more than 23 million records of data has been reported to the system by the European Member States. The development group has worked with both maintaining the current functionality as well as further developing new requirements in accordance with the client annual work plan.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The consultant shall participate in the regular meetings of the development team.
- The consultant should work as defined in the Scrum team sprint as a full team member of the Scrum team. Tasks are recorded in an internal system, monitored, and followed up as part of the Scrum process.
- Specific tasks for 2012 will be to:
- Maintain and further develop the Database build and deployment framework;
- Maintain the automated Database regression and integration tests;
- Based on the test plan, define a set of regression tests with sufficient test coverage and add them to the already existing automated tests;
- Execute automated tests and report issues in internal system;
- Contribute to the planning and execution of test activities to ensure an acceptable quality.

My client is an international consultancy. You will be working on one of their customer sites in Sweden. This is an excellent opportunity to work on an interesting assignment with a leading international organisation.
