For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

APPLICATION SUPPORTER - UNIX/LINUX (4425)

The ideal candidate will be part of a team of HDCS Tools Operations & Support that are responsible for operating and supporting various tools across the global bank. The candidate will work with tools in the software deployment and server build areas.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- + 4 YEARS OF DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN USER/APPLICATION SUPPORT IN UNIX/LINUX
- KNOWLEDGE OF SERVER PROVISIONING & SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION TOOLS
- EXPERIENCE IN USER/APPLICATION SUPPORT IN WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT
- STRONG ANALYTICAL THINKING AND SCRIPTING SKILLS
- A high level of service orientation and willingness to work independently but in a team
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
- FLEXIBILITY TO PROVIDE ON-CALL SERVICE
- Fluent in English, German is an asset

ABOUT THE ROLE:

- Work on incidents in the software deployment and server build areas
- Identify the incident root cause and resolve issues
- Work with internal customers to provide them consulting services over the supported tools
- Work with engineering teams on new tools implementation
- Documentation and maintenance of per-application support procedures
