For a project to our banking client site in Zürich we are looking for a motivated
APPLICATION SUPPORTER - 2ND LEVEL SUPPORT & UNIX KNOW HOW (3177)
This challenging Position will give you the chance to work in a multicultural team & liaise with 3rd Level Support/Development teams and associated Unix, Windows and others.
YOUR QUALIFICATON:
- Bachelor Degree or completed apprenticeship in IT/Computer Science
- DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN UNIX/LINUX, WINDOWS/SOLARIS
- EXPERIENCE IN APPLICATION SUPPORT
- Deep technical skills needed and ability to learn new skills/technologies
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work efficiently
- Flexibility to provide on-call service
- A high level of service orientation and willingness to work independently but in a team
- STRONG ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND/OR SCRIPTING SKILLS ARE A PLUS
- Fluent English skills are required, GERMAN IS AN ASSET
THE JOB:
- Accountability to perform daily operational tasks to ensure continuous running of the systems
- Investigation and resolution of incoming issues (incidents, service requests according to ITIL-based Incident Management process)
- Active ownership of open incidents - ensure resolution or workaround and escalation to Problem Management as appropriate
- Documentation and maintenance of application support procedures
- Consultancy for application development/software packaging
- Global support team
