Application Support Team Lead

National retail leader is looking to add an Application Support Lead to their team for a long term contract. Client is looking for someone who has project management experience in an IT environment, and who has previous production support experience. Knowledge of ITIL if a plus. The team is providing application support to warehouse management solutions (WMS) from Manhattan Associates. The teams typical profile is Java Developers. You do not need to have previous experience supporting WMS applications. You do need to have experience providing app support to larger packages such as WMS or SAP or Oracle, etc...

Ideally you will have experience with resource and budget planning - reviewing/updating RPL, ROF process, organizational development, staff development and mentoring, creating positive stakeholder relationships.

SKILLS SUMMARY:

- Prefer experience with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System, or another WMS System (High Jump, Red Prairie, Sterling Commerce, etc).
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or project manager leading software development teams.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience leading teams of 7 or more.
- Understand the fundamentals of technology and have a solid basis for which to interpret technological solutions.
- Required minimum of 3+ years experience with vendor management, through packages (SAP, Oracle, TIBCO, WMS, etc), SOW fixed deliverable and time and materials.
- Familiarity with middle tier technology such as WebSphere, Java, and Oracle.
