JOB OVERVIEW:
The Application Support Delivery Specialist - CARNET is the "go to" person for achieving the delivery of agreed levels of services to end-users for emerging applications in the consumer application space like CARNET & DOE and Application Management Services (AMS). Responsibilities include technical management, application management and operations management for staff and vendors engaging in the day-to-day support of consumer applications. Application Support Delivery Specialist, Consumer Apps, is a cross-functional roll that serves several business units within the Client organization including the main brands, After Sales & Service, Customer Care and corresponding business units at CLIENT IT.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a complete understanding of the CARNET suite of applications & emerging consumer applications like (Digital Owners Experience), operating processes and procedures implemented by Client IT, CLIENT IT and other supplier organizations in support of the consumer application's availability & maintenance and Vehicle Owner's experience.
- Assist business customers, development projects and IT Operations in defining SLAs and KPIs to measure and report support vendor's performance in support of vehicle program and owner's experience
- Liaising with CLIENT IT, Wolfsburg-based development support teams
- Own and Maintain Service Certificates (Standard IT service agreements for 2nd and 3rd level app support) and Operations Handbook for each of the consumer apps;
- Own & Maintain the source code for various consumer facing apps.
- Ensuring that appropriate IT service continuity plans exist to support business continuity.
- Reduce the number and severity of incidents and problems to promote operational stability
- Manage the development of small changes/bug fixes to applications
- Ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient handling of all system changes
- Manage and control the installation of changes to IT systems
- Effectively manage expectations of the customer during the planning and rollout of new releases
- Assist GM, AMS & Infrastructure in future capacity planning and forecasting
- Provide consulting to larger projects and resolving severity 1 and 2 incidents
- Assist in the performance of environment/application audits, evaluations and other analysis.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, (Master's degree preferred) or 10 plus years of comparable work experience.
- Cloud Managed Services (CMS)
- Java Development

- Liferay
- MySQL
