APPLICATION SUPPORT JOB/LINUX ENGINEER - OBS TAX - PL/1 - ZÜRICH, SCHWEIZ

Are you keen on working in the financial services industry in Zürich? Do you have an interest in application integration and data migration? Do you possess knowledge of the banking industry and have had exposure to financial instruments? Do you have experience in requirements engineering and support functions? You have worked with third party applications? If so, then this is the perfect contract job for you!
You will be effectively doing three jobs. The key requirement is system engineering, as you will be helping helping the client migrate the third party application OBS Tax from a Solaris to a Linux platform. The second requirement is to make modifications to the platform with PL/1, SQL on DB2. The third requirement is application support as well as business analysis for the OBS Tax users.
To be able to do this, you are expected to be a well rounded technologist - with previous of experience supporting third party applications (ideally OBS Tax), performing database development with PL/1, Oracle or SQL Server and have previously documented or written technical specifications
The environment is international so English is the primary working language, German languages skills would be highly beneficial however.
The initial contract length is 12 months and you will be able to earn a daily contract rate of between 700 - 750 CHF per day depending on your experience.
