FINANCIAL APPLICATION SUPPORT - HELP DESK, needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's Client located in Washington, DC.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- This is an entry level support position
- Proficient support skills which include: advanced troubleshooting and detailed documentation
- One to Two (1-2) years in IT field with technical troubleshooting skills over the phone or desk-side
- Experience in understanding of processes in IT support environment
- Efficiently analyze combined technical and governance related issues and/or requests
- Ability to learn and then support applications through frequent application enhancements
- At least three years direct support to end-users of information systems, or relevant experience in a technical or customer support environment
- Remedy Request System, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows 7 experience preferred
- A high degree of computer literacy, must be a fast learner

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide Tier 1 and 2 help desk support for clients in proprietary financial applications supported by IFC.
- Log all incoming issues and requests in Remedy
- Correctly refer unresolved problems to higher level (3rd Tier) support work groups
- Provide follow-up status to customer end-users in accordance with specified support guidelines

- Strong customer service approach to dealing with people.
- Maturity of judgment under pressure/ability to diagnose level of user need and to escalate problems without delay to appropriate levels for resolution

- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems Management or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Accredited Technical Institution Diploma/Certificate
