We are looking for an Application Support Engineer who speaks fluently English, for a freelance contract until the end of the year in Brussels.

Description:

- Trouble shooting and process resolution to provide rapid restore or service recovery
- Interaction with various teams to resolve production issues or to redesign processes, procedures, delivery mechanisms and support models
- Followed-up for supported services, make sure actions are described and initiated
- Assessmentidentify and develop tools, flows; techniques and procedures for improving the performance, availability and reliability of applications
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies (i.e. change management, IT security standards, release management, incident management; configuration management)
- Creation, maintenance and/or review of application support documentation and E2E process flow documentation.
- Looking at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportability

Skills:

- More than 5 years' experience as Application Support Engineer
- Good command of

- Oracle
- Unix/Linux; Windows
- IBM MQ; ActiveMQ
- PL/SQL; Perl; Java; Groovy
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Stress resistant and ability to adapt to tight deadlines
- Communication skills: Good verbal and written English; basic understanding of Dutch & French
