Our client located in Atlanta, GA is currently seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their team.

The Engineer will be responsible for providing daily operational and technical support for the database environment and enterprise system applications, including CRM, tradeshow management and registration.

Responsibilities and Duties Include but are not limited to:

- Monitor Backup procedures and jobs, and make changes when necessary
- Restore Databases
- Generates reports and tables by querying the database.
- Develop reports and custom requests for users
- Monitor database utilities and performance
- Control and monitor user access to the databases
- Support SQL Server upgrades
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database and related application development.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
- Assist in maintaining database security
- Maintains data model and entity relationship diagrams
- General technical troubleshooting

CRM:

- Perform all tasks related to the day-to-day operations of a 167 user implementation of SalesLogix, including managing users, and handling bulk data migration,
- Perform user training
- Create/support groups for users
- Load activities for users
- Assist users with all reporting needs, including merge documents and usage reports
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor data integrity
- Tradeshow Management and Exhibitor Portal:
- Basic training for new users
- Floor plan uploads and changes (AutoCAD)
- Add/change user access
- Troubleshoot invoice/payment issues

Registration Management System:

- Market Setup and Testing for Shows
- Add/change users

Other:

- Provide technical research resources for incident resolution coordinating with vendors when necessary
- Inform user groups and IT teams of incident occurrences and provide periodic status and resolution ETA
- Maintain troubleshooting documentation for frequent incident occurrences and FAQ's for user groups
- Work with software vendors regarding resolution of application bugs and systems issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of all database applications, including coordination with users, developers and vendors
- Provide 7X24 emergency support for systems and applications as needed

Experience and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum three to five years' experience working with SQL Server 2005, 2008 (2012 and/or 2014 is a plus).
- Strong understanding of SQL tools and queries (stored procedures and functions, SQL scripts, select statements with multiple joins and sub-queries)
- Structured programming skills - Object Oriented Design knowledge is a plus
- Experience with highly normalized databases
- Knowledge of basic relational data structures and design
- Must have professional phone, email, and customer service skills
- CRM Admin Experience helpful
- Demonstrate excellent written communication and analytical skills.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Proven track record of being able to produce results by working independently without constant supervision
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel
- Intermediate Word
- Ability to comprehend and document technical issues with an attention to detail
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and communicate status of multiple tasks
- Ability to create intuitive technical and non-technical documentation
