APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER

Duration: 3 months, with option to extend

Hours a week: 40

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Support Test Environment on Unix/Linux HW infrastructure
- Take ownership of the software development and test infrastructure as provided to the internal customer. The software development environment is used by appr. 1000 developers.
- Participate as technical expert in running projects within the IT CCP ST software group.
- Define improvement proposals that focus on test system performance and process efficiency for end-users.
- Give support in solving difficult 3rd line incidents related to the development and test environment.
- Strong partner in discussions with the architects and other stakeholders within the internal customer departments

UNDERSTANDING AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE WITH:
- Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure
- Development and Test environments
- Multiple virtualizations techniques (Linux RHEV manager or Linux VM)
- Knowledge of Netapp storage, databases
- Sun Solaris knowledge is a pre

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Solve issues on development and test infra environment, communicate with customer and implement changes.
