Application Support Analyst
12 month contract
Dublin City Centre

Our client currently requires the expertise of an Application Support specialist for a 12 month contract job in Dublin city centre. You will be required to join a team that support in-house and third party business applications for the overall end customers.

Essential skills for this role are outlined below:
* Knowledge of UC4/Automic
* Knowledge of Sungard Aligne application suit
* Knowledge of Plexos Modelling Application
* Strong Methodical structured approach in terms of completing pre reqs for Installation, configuration, upgrade planning and implementation of systems.
* Thorough understanding of Windows operating systems
* Experience of Energy Trading Risk Management applications
* Understanding of SQL and components including Oracle and SQLServer an advantage

Duties will include the following:
* 3rd Party Application Management -(Application and Middleware)
* Pre reqs assessment and Pre Req completion of System Installation Requirements
* Installation, configuration, upgrade planning and implementation of systems
* Proactive Troubleshooting, Maintenance and Support
* Business Continuity - Site Switches - IT Disaster Recovery site Switches for business critical applications
* Scripting (Powershell)
* IT Change, Incident, Problem Management Processes - ITIL Processes
* Define operational alerts and associated thresholds for alerting
* Monitor and action security risks associated with System Software
* Performance Monitoring and Tuning
