Application Support Analyst Job

APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST NEEDED FOR A CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location.
Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- SQL/Oracle database experience
- ETL experience
- .NET experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Nuclear Solutions Support.80% app support, 20% app dev*.Support role*
- Support applications in a production environment for Nuclear Solutions Support.
- Includes troubleshooting and analysis of existing applications, problem resolution, and/or small enhancements. Possible development of interfaces to vendor applications, or other newly implemented applications, which may be written in a variety of technology languages.
- PLEASE NOTE: This individual is expected to rotate on-call (after hours) once every 6-7 weeks after sixty (60) days of contracting including weekends.
- Nuclear Awareness Training will be required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Four year college degree or work experience equivalent
- TOP SKILLS: SQL/Oracle Database experience, Electronic Transfer Languages (DTS, SSIS, Informatica, etc), .NET framework,VB6, C#, with experience using relational databases Oracle, DB2, SQL2008+.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous Duke and/or Nuclear experience. Local candidates only.
- 5+ years' experience with application development and/or support
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex individual assignments and leading small projects
- Demonstrated strong ability to perform requirements analysis, functional and technical design, coding, testing (unit, system, and integration), documentation, and implementation of application programs using standard processes.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, oral and written. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Client Server concepts and Object Oriented Design.
- Demonstrated experience supporting vendor installed applications.
