Application Support Analyst Job

APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Support and maintain configuration management
- Support the business continuity strategy
- Provide daily system/application administration
- Monitor and proactively support system/application capacity planning and analysis
- Understand IT best practices around ITIL/SDLC/Agile frameworks
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for defined applications
- Research and evaluate alternatives in order to recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution that meets business requirements and IT standards
- Provide direction and guidance to other Application Support Analysts
- Provide management of licensing, system maintenance and equipment support.
- Provide ownership and accountability for incidents related to defined applications
- Must be available to be on-call as this is a support role

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- At least five (5) years in an IT role with at least two (2) years in a technical support role
- Some background in software development
- Proficient at creating support documentation
- Technical training on UNIX, Windows platform design and support
- Strong working knowledge of Scripting languages and programming methodologies (mobile technologies included)
- Formal knowledge and practice of the Quality Process, Project Management and Agile philosophies and principles (KanBan)
- Web Server Support [Apache/Tomcat, IIS]
- Internally developed and 3rd party vendor application support
- DB Support [SQL, Oracle]
- JBoss
- Network Administration/Support
- Enterprise Infrastructure Support
- Ability to interpret application code in logs
- Windows Administration
- UNIX/Linux
