APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST

On behalf of our client, an international consulting house, we are looking for an Application Support Analyst. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can setart as soon as possible.

Main responsibilities:

- Responsible for providing day-to-day Production Support
- Managing communication with internal clients within the Business and other IT teams (eg Application Development, Technology Infrastructure Services)
- Own and manage incidents through to resolution including investigating complex problems involving multiple systems and involving other IT teams as required
- Act as a key stakeholder within development projects to ensure quality within software delivery
- Support for application deployments and support of critical batch jobs/overseas businesses

The skills and experience needed for these positions are:

- 3-5 years of working experience in a similar position
- Significant experience with Unix (eg handling files, searching logs, checking processes)
- Significant experience with relational Databases incl. writing SQL queries (Oracle/Microsoft SQL)
- Expertise in working with SPLUNK
- Good expertise in analysing Stack Traces
- ITIL certification or an understanding of the ITIL framework is a plus
- Knowledge of Banking Systems, business flows and/or Settlement messaging system is a plus
- Fluent skills in English and German
