Application Support Analyst

We require an Application Support Analyst for a 6 month contract role based on a client site in Glasgow to start ASAP.

Essential skills/experience required:
Experience of technical platforms and software environments including MS SQL Server.
Proven experience in the administration of IT applications
Able to understand the business aspects of information systems and supported applications
Any previous experience of technical platforms and software environments including MS SQL, .Net, MS IIS, Cache or integration technologies.

Role:
To deliver end user IT and Application support for clinical and business systems/applications within the health service. Many of the applications are large scale 24x7 clinical systems with users bases in excess of 20,000 users.
To support the implementation of new IT systems, new functionality and system changes/upgrades within the service areas covered, ensuring the implementation is successful and delivered on time.
To focus on system administration/support and technical administration for all applications.
This includes databases, technical operations, integrations and capacity planning; and support services to the second-line support teams. Technologies include Microsoft SQL Server, Orion Clinical Portal, Orion Rhapsody, Microsoft IIS, SCI Store, WinScribe.
