Application Support Analyst

Leading Global Insurance Group requires an Application Support Analyst for their Sydney CBD office for a 12 month fix term contract starting mid to late January.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support and maintain existing applications used within.

On a daily basis your role will see you:

- Develop strong technical understanding of a variety of in-house developed systems (Insurance Administration systems) as well as vendor systems including Guidewire and ActiveDocs.
- Manage requests coming through via INFRA and provide first level support and troubleshooting. Escalate to other teams (local and global) where necessary.
- Develop requirement documents and other deliverables for bug fixes or enhancements by following change management procedure.
- Design test plans, execute functional tests and co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing. All test results should be well documented.
- Gain a sound understanding of business practices and needs by liaising with users from all levels within the organisation to enable successful partnership of system delivery.
- Attend conference calls with Project teams in a different time zone to speed up problem resolution when necessary.
- Maintaining good working relationship peers and other departments.
- Identification of continuous improvement within your areas of responsibility.
- Performing related duties as assigned by your Manager.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

- 2 or more years of experience working as Business Analyst.
- Flexible self-starter to explore solution to problems.
- Good time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Demonstrate a high proficient level of report writing.
- Tertiary qualification in IT required.
