Application Services Manager - Den Haag

For one of our clients in Den Haag we are looking for an Application Services Manager.

Job Description
The position offers the flexibility of being based either in (The Netherlands - preferred) or Cyberjaya (Malaysia).

This role focuses on managing services in support of applications used in the Upstream disciplines; the portfolio in scope of this role ranges from Software License Management to Application Deployment to Software testing services.

The primary accountabilities of the Application Services Manager are:
1. Management and continuous improvement of a portfolio of global services to provide software license management, software testing, packaging and controlled distribution and 3rd party applications within the Technical and Competitive IT portfolio on standard desktops and specific Technical IT platforms.

2. Coach, motivate and develop the Delivery Managers reporting into this role to enable them to deliver their services with scope, agreed service levels and budgets. 

3. Led investigation and implementation of process and technology improvements within the portfolio of services in support of business needs and requirements

Responsibilities:
Management of a portfolio of global services to provide software license management, software testing, packaging and controlled distribution of proprietary Shell and 3rd party applications within the Technical and Competitive IT portfolio on standard desktops and specific Technical IT platforms.

Coach, motivate and develop Ensure the Delivery Managers reporting into this role to enable them to deliver their these services are delivered with scope, quality and cost parameters professionally managed according to agreed service levels and budgets agreed.

In particular coach Delivery Managers on best practices' for supplier management.

Led investigation and implementation of process and technology improvements within the portfolio of services and new tools and technologies for application deployment in support of business needs and requirements
Work with Software development teams in Subsurface, Wellspreferable, but not mandatory to have experience in software license management, application testing & release management, packaging and deployment technologies (Flexera technologies, Microsoft or HP testing tools, Linux desktop, Windows desktop, software packaging tools, application hosting environments, application virtualization techniques)
Familiar with Oil and Gas upstream business processes and applications.
