Application Server Engineer

Proteus Europe is searching for an Application Server Engineer to begin a 12 month contract in Brussels.

Our Client:-
Our client is a large player in the insurance industry, based in Brussels, Belgium.

Your New role:-

Our client is looking for external expertise to support the IandO Collaboration and Application Engineering team, domain IandO Application Server Engineering.

The goals of the mission are:
- Actively participate in project mode for the implementation and integration of new line of business and peripheral applications
- Manage the life cycle management of these solutions
- Define and execute BCP and DRP plans
- Patch the platform to meet the IT security requirements

The resource will join an existing domain of 4 system engineers

Your Skills and experience:-

Essential Skills:-
- Dutch or French
- Working experience in the financial sector
- Delivering large projects
- In depth knowledge of Windows Server
- Market application deployment on Windows Server
- Scripting capabilities (eg. batch, PowerShell, .NET)
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- DBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
- Webserver (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, jBoss)
- Application deployment process (architecture, detailed design)

Desirable Skills :-
- ITIL
- Experience with market products (eg. Microsoft Dynamics, SAS, SAP)
- Knowledge of SCOM, CommVault and SharePoint
- Experience with spnego
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
